What Season Is This?

Updated: Sep 21

Hey guys! I'm back!! I know it's been a while, but let's go ahead and dive in!

Seasons of life are so interesting. I know all of mine have been, anyways... VERY interesting. ESPESCIALLY when you're in the process of transitioning into a new season and you know it. You can feel it happening! There has never been a more strange feeling besides knowing you're in a season where a lot is happening and you don't know how to navigate through it. It's confusing, uncomfortable. A lot of times you'll find yourself feeling all sorts of things separately or all at once. Doing anything to distract yourself from the feeling of discomfort. The all at once is what gets you. Or, at least it got me.

For me, lately, I have all of these amazing things happening or about to happen for me, but I still feel like I'm running on a hamster heel waiting for something great to begin. Anybody else feel that way?

My best friend likes to remind me that even though it feels this way, it's not the truth, and she's right! We are all moving towards something whether we like it or not. Maybe not at the exact pace we would like to be moving... which is EXTREMELY frustrating for me because God really tries my patience sometimes. I'm not even kidding...........

For a second, if I'm being honest, I started to reject the feeling of change instead of embracing it altogether. So, I started doing things to distract myself or occupy my time. Highly highly do not recommend :D . Because something I have learned is this: Don't go back to less just because you are too impatient to wait on what's better to you and for you. Now, this can go for quite literally any aspect in life.

Understandably, when God puts new seasons in our way it can be extremely uncomfortable which can lead to you trying to run back to old habits or seasons that no longer suit you while also holding you back from the person you are wanting to become or the lifestyle you are wanting to achieve. Fighting the change can make you feel empty, lonely, confused, maybe even like you're being a bit dysfunctional; searching for some sort of fulfillment that you will never be able to attain unless you embrace the change that God is allowing in your life and keep it pushing!

Truth be told, if God hadn't of straight up blessed me with some truly amazing friends and family members I more than likely would not be in the place that I am in right now. I know that I DEFINITELY would still be stuck navigating the last season I was in, and if you are very close with me, than you and I both know we never want that EVER again. Shoutout to my people :) I love you guys more than you know.

I want to urge you all not to fight the changes of life, but to embrace them. Don't run from them. Don't allow your failures to define you, but allow your failures to spark that flame deep inside of you that I know you have. Allow your failures to ignite you and cause you to start running faster, harder towards your goals. Don't allow your fear of change to cause you to ever settle with your life. Don't ever settle for anything or anyone!

The truth is that none of us are actually stuck. We may feel that way for a moment and we may allow that feeling to overcome us ever so slightly, but never let that feeling win. God listens to you. He hears you when you call to Him. Trust that!

To be honest, sometimes, when I know I'm in a situation I don't have the strength or will power on my own to get out of, I'll pray it away and talk to God, asking Him to take whatever or whoever it is out of my life, and I'm not even kidding when I say my Guy has overnight shipping because He will knock whatever it is out for me within 24 hours lol! So, don't ever feel down or like you missed out on an opportunity maybe at work or a new job position, a new opportunity, or even with a new person because I can PROMISE you that God is doing you a favor every time :)!!

We are all capable of creating a life that we want to have for ourselves, if we ask for it, and if we work hard for it. And remember, if it was easy, you'd be bored.

Stay hopeful, stay positive... Stay Radiant!
