If there is one thing you need to know about me... it is that I despise moving.
I know, I know. That's a little harsh. You're probably thinking "Jeez, girl calm down. It's just moving!" and to that, I say you are completely right.
Alright, so 'despise' might be too harsh of a word because technically I don't completely hate it. No... I just hate the packing and unpacking part, but I mean who doesn't? And if there is someone out there that genuinely enjoys doing ALL of that work, well... GO MAKE SOME MONEY AND START A BUSINESS. Oh and, bless your heart.
listen to this: I had a very special mentor, more than once, tell me that people will always pay you to solve their problems and honestly, he couldn't have been more right! Remember that.
Anyways, now that I have fully gotten off-topic almost a dozen times... let's get down to business.
As you have probably guessed... I'm moving!
Questions that follow that most people ask me are: Are you excited? New roommates? How do you feel about it?
And to which I reply that, Yes! I am ecstatic to move into my new apartment. (*side note: the leasing office called me earlier while I was watching my god-brother play his first/last game of football and told me that they are putting in new carpet! Woohoo!*) --- My new roommates? I don't know them whatsoever. I tried texting them a couple of times, but they didn't seem to care, SO hopefully they're much better in person! I'm excited to meet them, though! And as for the last question, well... I'm not sure yet! I'm excited, scared, nervous, BROKE (college ain't cheap, y'all), but most importantly I feel hopeful.
I am hopeful to make new friends, meet new people, and learn new things. I am hopeful to grow in my relationship with God, my relationship with my own family, with my precious boyfriend, and with his family as well.
So, to sum it all up... It is okay to feel all types of emotions when going somewhere different or when meeting new people or when moving to a new place. It is O K A Y. Feel things! Be excited, be happy, be sad! But also, above all things, be hopeful. Be hopeful because with new beginnings come great things and so many opportunities that are bound to happen.
Stay hopeful.
Stay radiant.
